My poor laptop is one step closer to eating it for good.

Last week I accidentally spilled some water near my laptop. Not on it, but behind it and water spread until it reached my computer. The computer still works but I can't unplug my laptop without it shutting off. This wouldn't be a huge problem except for the fact that I don't have a place for my laptop so I am constantly moving it around putting it places to use and then moving it so I can use the space for something else. At this point I'm turning it off, moving it, and starting it up again 3 to 4 times a day which is making life rather difficult.

If you are feeling generous and like listening to music or wearing cute underthings, any orders would help tremendously.

Does anyone have a web hosting service that they really like?

I have been trying to figure out how to make bras since February. I have been making panties since January and I have those figured out. In the 10+ failed attempts to make a bra that actually fits and makes the girls look good, I have found that you can really manipulate the shape of your boobs and your silhouette.

I still plan on working with those of you who offered to test fit for me. It will be a bit yet (I'm still trying to get the exact shape I want) but it will happen!

It has been a long time since I posted on here!

Last weekend I was in Chicago for the Models of Visually Odd Photography Rock and Fashion Show that I had some Cute Can Kill pieces in. I can't even express how nice the models, directors, and photographers are! It's such a fun thing to do and I hope they do it again next year.

Most of my time recently has been spent working on my menswear line. Since college, I have really wanted to make menswear and now I finally feel like I have enough knowledge and skill to pull it off. I asked a very good friend to help me and I am so excited to finally work with him on this project (he has been asking me for clothing since I met him almost 4 years ago).

I've hit a few roadblocks working on more lingerie and unfortunately it hasn't been my main focus for a while now. I was working on making bras but I wasn't happy with how they were fitting and I put them aside and haven't picked them up again. I really don't want to have fit issues with something that is so important to the way a woman looks.

It's been a long time since I updated!

I'm catching up with some wholesale orders that have been around for far too long.

Since college I have wanted to do menswear but I didn't have the patterning knowledge to make it happen. I'm finally getting to the point where I am working on my men's line and this time I asked a very good friend of mine to help me. He has great style and has been asking me to make him clothes for years. I promised him my men's line would happen in 2008 and it looks like it will.

I will have some of the Cute Can Kill Lingerie line in this year's Visually Odd Photography Rock and Fashion Show in Chicago at the end of the month! Click the banner for more info!

Yesterday I shipped one more outstanding wholesale order. I did a test sample for my next wholesale order and I figured out how I want to construct the bags so they look the best.

I signed up for the June Craft Saturday. Kris and I participated in one of them last year (they are held about ever other month) and it was a lot of fun. Plus I really like Des Moines and I like finding a reason to go down there!

Current agenda:

Finish all remaining wholesale orders and ship at the beginning of next week (all retail orders are shipped!).

Officially start work on my new project, expand my lingerie line, and work on my men's line.

I never wanted to be one of those people who let their personal life effect their business life. I thought I could keep it all separate. I've come to the realization recently that I can't keep my personal life from effecting my business and it hurts me so much that my business is suffering because my personal life is a mess right now.

The last few months have been a revolving door of friends entering, re-entering, or leaving my life. I've had some amazing opportunities and some things that have just thrown me backwards. There have been people I thought I was in good standing with do things to me that I never thought they would. I have had people step up at the exact right moment without knowing anything was wrong.

Every time I think things have calmed down and come into some sort of order something else comes my way that throws my life into chaos again. I don't know what to do about any of it because (to the best of my knowledge) I am not bringing it onto myself.

My orders are taking too long to be shipped. I am not working on any new stuff. I am just feeling to sick to get any work done.

I officially can't get my carly@carlycouture.com email. I have contacted the guy who hosts my page but I haven't heard anything back yet. It is sooooooooooo frustrating not being able to check your email.

I am struggling to get my email right now (it doesn't want to pull the email from my server). I think my emails going out are being received but I'm not completely sure.
